Fabiao Yu is full Professor for Bioanalytics in Hainan Medical University since 2018. His research in the field of bioanalytics focuses on the development of fluorescent probes and bio-nanomaterials, the integration of multimodal imaging and microfluidic-aided measurements.
Born in 1980 in Shandong, China, he studied chemistry from 2001 to 2009 in Shandong Normal University and received his Bachelor and Master degrees in Science. Afterwards, he earned his PhD degree at Dalian University of Technology and the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, China Academy of Sciences (CAS) in 2013 for his thesis on the Synthesis and applications of near-infrared fluorescent probes for biological redox cycles. Afterwards, he worked at the Yantai Institute of Coastal Zone Research for Sustainable Development, CAS as research associate from 2013 to 2017.
Fabiao Yu is member of the “Youth Innovation Promotion Association, CAS” and “Hundred Talent Program of Hainan Province”. He received the research grants from “National Natural Science Foundation of China (2015-2017, 2016-2019, 2018-2021)”, the “Talent Program of China Academy of Sciences (2015-2018)” and the “Hainan Principle Talent Funding (2018-2021)”.
